Located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, this Villa was a fascinating project, where many cultural factors were considered. Among them was the need for multiple kitchens, service quarters, formal entertainment spaces, informal entertainment spaces, and plenty of parking on site. Privacy was a major consideration as well. The house must appear secure from the outside, yet inviting once you enter the property.

The materials employed were inspired by the desert sand and native Medjool palms. Among the notable features incorporated into the design was an extensive photovoltaic solar panel grid on the roof, to reduce the house’s dependence on locally provided electricity.
